Separett Tiny is a separation toilet specially designed for Tiny Homes and other small spaces, such as camper vans, caravans, boats, gazebos, etc. All that is needed for installation is a 12 V or 110-240 V power connection and a 50 mm pipe for ventilation of the toilet. The urine is drained through a 32 mm hose.

Ideal for smaller spaces
Tiny is our newest member of the Separett family. The simple and flexible design of Separett Tiny was born from many years of development of separation toilets and offers the perfect fit for small spaces.

High capacity
Thanks to the urine separation, odors and waste volumes are reduced. Air is expelled from the toilet room from the 50 mm pipe, while urine is discharged through the 32 mm hose behind the toilet. When used in a permanent residence with two people, the solid waste collection container must be emptied once a week. Urine is drained into an external container that can be emptied as needed.

Hygienic and odorless
You can rely on the Tiny toilet thanks to its high operational reliability, and its installation is child’s play. The faint odor, which arises despite urine separation, is led out by the fan and a better room climate is created by constant air circulation. At the same time the fan works quietly and effectively. The maximum effectiveness of the fan is achieved with continuous use.

Privacy screen
The privacy screen hides the solid excreta in the tank and is automatically slid open when you sit down to go to the toilet. This way, you only see the waste when you empty the container.

Urine hose
Connect the urine hose to either the existing graywater drain, an external infiltration, an external container (e.g. the Separett Ejetor tank) or to another approved solution.

Disposal of solid waste
The solid waste products are collected in a waste container equipped with a compostable waste bag. For permanent use in a two-person household, you should empty the waste container for solid excreta products approximately every two weeks. to do this, open the top of the toilet. Make sure the lid is locked in the open position before releasing it. Then follow these steps:

1. Place the supplied lid on the container.
2. Lift the container up by the yellow handle and pull it out of the toilet.
3. Carry the container to where the waste will be treated.

The solid waste can now be treated in one of the following ways:

• Option 1: Direct composting in an approved composting facility.
• Option 2: Place the solid waste in a container and leave it for at least 12 months by following these steps:

Installation
Separett Tiny should be cleaned with a gentle, environmentally friendly detergent. The toilet is made of dense highly polished polypropylene, which is characterized by
aggressive cleaning can be scratched.
The fan must run continuously to prevent odors in the bathroom. Periodically flush the filter in the ventilation duct with water to ensure good ventilation.

Placement of the toilet
Separett Tiny works equally well in cold and warm rooms regardless of the room temperature. The only requirements are that the urine can be drained and a ventilation pipe can be mounted.
The toilet must be placed on the floor against the wall. For extra stability, it should be mounted either in the floor, in a wall, or both.

Drill holes as described in the installation template
The enclosed installation template shows you the possible options for installing the urine drain and vent pipes through the wall behind the toilet or through the floor. These options allow installation without visible pipes.

Installing the vent pipe
The toilet is designed for 50 mm pipes (outer diameter). For optimal functioning, we recommend that you use Separett’s installation kit, which includes pipes and elbows in the correct dimensions. Separett Tiny can be installed with up to 5 m of ventilation pipes and two 90° bends. Ventilation can be through a wall, the floor, the roof or a suitable side of the house to the outside. If there is already a ventilation pipe from a previous toilet installation, the toilet can be connected to it, as long as the existing pipe is not smaller than 50mm and meets the requirements. If you need a longer pipe that exceeds the above recommendations, you can install an extra vent (part number 13008). The toilet comes with a connector to connect the 40 cm 50 mm pipe to a 1.5 inch pipe.

Installation of the urine drain
The toilet comes with a 2 m urine hose. To connect this to the toilet, use the straight connection or the 90° connection. As with the installation of the vent pipes, it is possible to connect the urine hose so that no pipe is visible. This is achieved by angling the 90° connection downward or by using the straight connection.

Recommendations for the installation of the urine drain
As with the vent pipe, Tiny offers the ability to install the urine hose discreetly, without visible pipes or hoses. Here are some tips to follow to maintain an optimally functioning urine drain in the long run:
If you want to penetrate an insulated wall or a wall with an air gap between the inner and outer wall, you must use a tube or pass the hose through a tube. This will reduce the risk of pests damaging the hose.
If you want to pass urine over a longer distance than the 2m of tubing provided, you should switch to tubing after the 2m. Since urine contains minerals that can accumulate in the pipes/hoses, we recommend a pipe with at least 40 mm diameter for the extension to avoid blockages.
Make sure that the pipes always have a downward slope of at least 2 degrees (2cm per meter) and that there are no air pockets due to bends in the hose.
If you want to use the toilet in winter, the outer pipes must have a diameter of at least 40 mm.
In that case, we also recommend that you insulate the outer pipes with pipe insulation. This can be purchased at a hardware store.
An important rule of thumb for longer runs (over 2m) is that the sooner you use larger diameter pipes, the lower the risk of blockages.
Never route pipe connections near power outlets or electrical outlets. This is to prevent fluid from coming into contact with electricity in the event of a leak.
