Silvertex-System – long-lasting protection for your fresh water

Germs see your fresh water tank as a large swimming pool – in they jump, and they thrive there. Even after just a few hours, bacteria etc. can multiply many times over. This is usually evident from a slimy film on the inside of your fresh water tank or in the pipes. This film, also known as biofilm, offers bacteria optimal conditions for multiplying and also protects them against external influences. That is why it is advisable not to allow the biofilm to develop in the first place, and to deprive bacteria etc. of the environmental conditions they need to live – this is best done reliably and without requiring huge effort!

 

Protecting your drinking water against contamination

The Silvertex system offers effective protection for your fresh water system against biofilm formation and also prevents the drinking water from becoming contaminated – and this happens thanks to the automatic dispensing of silver ions every time the tank is refilled.

 

Silvertex system – how does it work?

Long-lasting protection for your fresh water system. The impact of the Silvertex system is based on the use of pure silver ions (Ag+). These deactivate / kill bacteria, viruses and fungi / yeasts. Silver ions are highly effective because the bacteria etc. are attacked on multiple fronts:

• Silver ions damage the cell membrane
• Deactivate cell enzymes
• Inhibit DNA regeneration

How it works:

1. Solvation
Water molecules (H2O) release the silver ions (Ag+) from the silver-coated threads in the textile.
2. Fluidisation
Whether during filling or while driving – movement ensures the silver ions are transported into every corner of your
fresh water system.
3. Contact area
Thanks to the grid structure, a large silver-coated surface is produced – this ensures
swift conservation of the entire fresh water system.

• The Silvertex system was developed and tested in collaboration with the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene (TU Dresden).
• Silver was used to preserve water even back in ancient times. The Silbertex system now makes it possible to control the silver content – and without any dosing work.
